FAQs
Q: What is different between this and eCatholic, OSV, or other platforms?
A: Many platforms are essentially just websites that you design and update as you see fit. Hark is different in that it's a portal where you can quickly and easily communicate, collect, and better admin your basic parish needs. While many websites are like a brochure with static information, Hark is more of a communications like similar to a social media page.
Q: Can I continue to use our current print bulletin process?
A: Of course, however it does waste quite a vast amount of paper and really isn't efficient. Our e-bulletin feature is directly integrated so you can quickly choose what to feature for the email bulletin and we'll mail paper bulletins directly to the less tech-savvy parishioners.
Q: What are the payment fees for parishioners for collections and other payments?
A: Payment fees are passed onto parishioners when they make payments and are mostly comprised of the processing fees for the actual payment processing. This is similar for what you see in other platforms and non-profit fundraising sites. For ACH payments it's ~1% and for credit cards it's ~3% + 30 cents per transaction.
